Homefront The Revolution is a first-person shooter game that takes place in a dystopian version of the United States where a foreign power has taken over the country. It was developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver in 2016.

Plot

Homefront Revolution video game tells a story of a resistance movement fighting against an entity that has gained control over a city in the United States. It is set in a dystopian version of Philadelphia, where the player takes on the role of Ethan Brady, a new member of the resistance.

Everything begins with the protagonist joining the resistance and quickly becoming involved in a plot to take down the KPA, the foreign power. As the adventure continues, players undertake a series of missions that involve sabotaging KPA operations, stealing supplies, and gathering intel on their enemies.

The story culminates in a climactic battle for the heart of the city, where the player must use all of their skills and resources to defeat the KPA and restore freedom to the people of Philadelphia.

Gameplay

The game's open-world environment allows players to explore the city and its surrounding areas at their own pace. The world is filled with different factions, each with its objectives and motivations, providing a dynamic and ever-changing experience. Homefront provides many missions and objectives, ranging from sabotage and espionage to direct confrontations with the enemy.

The city is divided into several districts. Each of them has its own characteristics and challenges, with the factions controlling different areas. The districts include the heavily guarded Green Zone, the residential Yellow Zone, and the dangerous and contaminated Red Zone. These areas provide a diverse and challenging environment for players to explore.

The Revolution includes a "Resistance" mode, which is a separate four-player cooperative multiplayer mode that offers its own set of characters, progression, classes, and perks. The game also features a crafting system that allows to customize and upgrade their weapons and gear. In the middle of a firefight, it is possible to add a foregrip or a sight to the weapon or change a rifle to Ligh Machine Gun within a second.
