Need for Speed Shift is a racing video game developed by Slightly Mad Studios and published by Electronic Arts. It is the 13th installment in the Need for Speed series and was released in 2009. The game features a realistic driving simulation experience, with a focus on providing a more authentic racing experience than previous games in the series. NFS Shift includes a wide range of licensed cars and tracks, as well as a detailed physics engine that simulates realistic car behavior and handling. As far as the soundtrack is concerned, it is very similar to the ProStreet version.
Story
As the players progress through the game, they earn experience points and level up their "Driver Profile," unlocking new cars and events. However, the game does not have any characters, plot, or storyline. It focuses on the player and the competition and their performance in the game.
Gameplay
NFS Shift focuses on recreating real races. Therefore, the player must watch out for collisions and accidents, as both the car and the driver can be damaged. The game features almost 70 sports cars and 15 race tracks, which are modeled on those in real life.
Thanks to the three-dimensional visualization system of the driving conditions, the player feels himself in the role of a driver who experiences more and more overloads as the speed increases.
Car modifications
Need for Speed: Shift allows the player to modify the car inside and out. Almost every element of the vehicle can be replaced with a better component, allowing to achieve more impressive results on the tracks. This feature is also an option to meet the visual needs of the most demanding players.
