Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Italia

This time, players will have a chance to visit greatly improved and extended Italy. The DLC enriches the game with 22 faithfully recreated cities and smaller towns, where developers did their best to depict the unique atmosphere of each region.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 Italia, just like the base game, features high-quality, realistic graphics, which helps to immerse into the game and experience the life of a true truck driver.

Gameplay

The expansion does not introduce any changes to the main gameplay. The player takes on the role of a professional truck driver, delivering various cargos to different facilities scattered all over Europe. Immersion and realistic mechanics, including traffic, regulations, etc, have always been the selling point of the franchise, and Italy DLC does not change that. However, it introduces new towns, cities, and even whole regions to the game.

Although Italy was present in the base game, it was rather a small part of it. The expansion allows players to visit many famous Italian cities, such as Palermo, or the legendary Rome. The whole of Italy offers many unique and stunning views, making every route in that region incredibly enjoyable. Because of the geographical shape of Italy, players will have a chance to travel through a country with higher than usual city concentration. In addition to that, the DLC features a number of new, famous facilities, characteristic for this sunny country, such as Carrara marble quarries, and the largest in the whole of Europe Taranto's Steelworks. 

Reception

Most of the players have welcomed the ETS 2 Italia expansion incredibly warm. The game received very positive reviews among the community. Many players praised the well-developed regions of Italy and applauded faithful portraying the unique atmosphere of certain cities. A significant part of the ETS2 community claims that it is a solid addition to the base game.
