Heroes of Might and Magic V Gold Edition defined turn based strategy back in the days when New World Computing was still the makers of the game. Yes, the first HOMM was launched in 1995! Since then, I haven't been able to play any other strategy game quite like it, and quite as addictive, be it in its solo form or the hotseat battles that you can wage with fellow geeks of yours. I say geeks because this game surely doesn't appeal to most people, as it is about strategy, turn-based strategy, and pretty hard maps even on the easiest levels. Still, you have to give it a go, as it is too good to be ignored!
