The action of the game takes place in the magical, fantasy world known from the Trine series. The story concentrates on four young wizard students who want to learn the secrets of the most powerful magic. However, none of them is willing to spend their best years studying boring books and lectures. That is why they decided to embark on a quest aimed to find the titular Nine Parchments - legendary magical artifacts that supposedly will grant great powers to anyone who reads them. During their adventure, young wizards will meet many colorful, and interesting chara tera.

During the game, the action is presented from the isometric view. The gameplay reminds classic shooter games, except instead of guns, our heroes use powerful, often very destructive, spells. The game features a wide range of different spells, each representing one of five elements - ice, fire, electricity, life, and death. As the story goes on, players will unlock access to new, more powerful spells and charms. It is worth mentioning that the game has been designed with a focus on multiplayer cooperation. That is why many spells can be used together, creating surprising, sometimes devastating, combinations. During the game, it is worth keeping in mind that teamwork is often well rewarded. The story can be played with a maximum of 4 players, and it features many, well-designed levels, full of enemies, secrets, and puzzles.
