What lurks in the water

The year is 1975 and Cameron “Caz” McLeary gets hired on the Beira D oil rig while trying to run from the Scottish police. A terrible accident shakes the platform, causing Caz and his newly met coworkers to fall into the cold North Sea. Once rescued, the protagonist attempts to help the survivors trapped in the disintegrating rig and save both them and himself. To his horror, Caz discovers the contaminated oil may have affected his coworkers in the worst way possible...

The Still Wakes the Deep video game’s gameplay revolves around exploring and walking around the heavily damaged oil rig, collecting various pieces of information about the mysterious underwater force infesting the area, evading opponents in stealth segments, and solving environmental puzzles in order to progress the story. There are no combat elements in the game though - while Caz can run, jump, and climb ladders, he cannot use any weapons and his only means of survival against the dangerous enemies are escaping or avoiding them.
