Best Games for Benchmarking
New video games from the biggest companies are often trying to push our gaming systems to the limits and that’s usually the reason why we upgrade our PCs – to meet the new standards and enjoy the most recent titles in a way that was envisioned by the development team. Such games are great benchmarking tools that can give you a general idea of what’s your current PC capable of running with stable FPS and without annoying lags or stutterings.
Best Games for Benchmarking
Best Games with build-in benchmarks
Classic benchmark tools are useful, but they’re sometimes tweaked to show you that your current hardware configuration is outdated and requires an upgrade – after which you’re redirected to a website that coincidentally sells new hardware parts, such as processors and GPU cards. Running certain AAA games to test your PC can prove to be a much more reliable – but also time-consuming – method of calculating the real power of your current PC. Sometimes you may be surprised when your PC appears to be handling a game that it wasn’t supposed to. A solid test with a real game in the PC’s natural environment will tell you much more about your PC’s actual health.
Cyberpunk 2077
If you’re looking for benchmark games for PC, Cyberpunk 2077 will gladly test your PC’s limits and will tell you if it’s already time to make some upgrades to your system or not. The game had a lot of controversies going on around it, but you must know that the development team constantly worked on fixing the initial problems and technical issues – it’s safe to say that today’s Cyberpunk 2077 is an almost completely new experience than it was at the time of its original release. And it’s definitely a better one.
Forza Horizon 5
Forza Horizon 5 would also be a great choice for your benchmark game. It’s a racing game with gorgeous visuals and stunning views, but most importantly – at least from a gameplay perspective – with hundreds of different, officially licensed cars from a variety of brands for you to collect, drive, and master. Each car behaves differently on the road, which drives our need to get more and more cars to try them all and see how they drive.
Microsoft Flight Simulator
Microsoft Flight Simulator can also be quite demanding when it comes to computing power, which means that it’s a solid option for a benchmark game to squeeze all the juices out of your PC. MFS is an incredibly powerful simulator that provides players with a sandbox environment, where they can choose their favorite planes and fly them around the real version of our entire planet. The game uses Bing Maps and AI to generate realistic 3D surroundings, which means that you can even take a flight to your hometown, where most of the buildings, or at the very least, their approximated shapes, should be standing.
Browse through our marketplace offers where you can find some of the best games for benchmarking. Stress your PC and see what games it can handle. Is it already time for an upgrade or can your current PC wait a little bit more before swapping hardware components for their newer and more powerful counterparts?
