    Harry Potter Video Games

Harry Potter is a fictional character and the protagonist of J. K. Rowling’s fantasy novel series. Since his first appearance in 1997 in a book titled Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, he became arguably one of the most popular teenage wizards ever created, and his adventures became a source of inspiration for other people, most notably film directors and game developers. For us, gamers, the game development part is obviously the most important one.

There are numerous games related to Harry Potter, but LEGO games are undoubtedly among the most popular and polished ones. If you’d like to start your own Harry Potter adventure, we can’t recommend LEGO games enough.

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 is where Harry’s adventure as a wizard begins. Just like it was in the novels, Harry visits the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he makes friends and tackles a variety of challenges, some of which are exceptionally dangerous, especially for a young and inexperienced mage such as himself. Thankfully, he’s seldom alone and whenever he seems to be out of luck, his friends got his back. The first 4 years in Hogwarts for Harry is the time when he learns how to take care of himself and how to protect those in need. He attends a variety of magic-related classes – even seemingly boring and unnecessary skills he learns there may one time come in handy or even save his life.

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 is where Harry matures. He’s no longer a boy, he’s a man – a powerful wizard to be reckoned with. Driven by fate, he knows that the only way to achieve a long-lasting peace is by getting rid of the one who took the lives of his parents when he was just a baby. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is rising in power once more and must be stopped for good. Although the matter sounds rather serious, there’s still plenty of humor present in the game – after all, most LEGO games are known for their lighthearted and casual-friendly atmosphere.

It's also worth noting that there is a LEGO Harry Potter Collection available to get. It’s a convenient package that contains remastered versions of both LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, which makes it a perfect choice if you’d like to save some money.

Of course, LEGO games are not the only ones that focus on the story of the young sorcerer. For example, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 surely deserves a mention, as it brings an experience aimed toward a more mature audience. The game revolves around the series’ grand finale, where the decisive battle between Harry Potter and the followers of You-Know-Who is about to take place.
