Alice: Madness Returns The Complete Collection

Alice Madness Returns is a single-player video game in a  horror, hack and slash, action-adventure genre developed by Spicy Horse Studio and released by Electronic Arts.

The game follows a story of a little girl called Alice Liddell, who suffers from the trauma inflicted upon her by the gruesome death of her family. She was discharged from a clinic and moved to an orphanage designed specifically for mentally traumatized individuals. How will her story unfold, and will she be able to regain total control over her own mind and sanity?

Plot

Under the strict care of Dr Angus Bumby, Alice undergoes hypnosis treatment in hopes of making her forget about her traumatizing past. Unfortunately, it seems not to be the case, and Alice still has hallucinations about Wonderland. 
During one of those visions, she appears stuck in the initially idyllic and peaceful world.

However, it quickly changes to a place corrupted by the Infernal Train, an entity which ravages Wonderland and leaves nothing but the Ruin in its wake.
After meeting the Cheshire Cat, he reassures her that Alice is not the architect of this destructive force and urges her to meet her former friends in an attempt to stop the Infernal Train.

Gameplay

In Alice Madness Returns The Complete Collection, the player controls Alice from a third-person perspective. Concerning combat, Alice has a few weapons to choose from, including a Vorpal Blade - a more personalized kitchen knife.
Rose petals represent her health, and when the number reaches zero, the player continues the game from the recent checkpoint.
There are numerous secrets hidden throughout the levels for the player to discover. Some of those may require using game mechanics, while others may be a challenge for the mind.

Weapons

• Octo-grinder- this weapon increases ammo limit and provides double the ammo. An enhanced version of the Pepper Grinder.


• Knightmare- restores gamers’ health with each hit. An enhanced version of the Hobby Horse


• Catnip Cannon— This weapon increases damage to enemies by 50 percent. An enhanced version of the Teapot Cannon


• Vorpal Cleaver— This weapon reduces damage from enemies by 50 percent. An enhanced version of the infamous Vorpal Blade

Note: These weapons are only available after you have unlocked the base weapon as you play through the story. Once you have unlocked the base weapon, you will have an option to switch it out for a more powerful version of it at the Main menu under “EQUIP”.

Dresses

• The Fleshmaiden Dress causes hysteria at any time.


• The Hattress -causes a player to lose teeth instead of health.


• The Checkmate Dress -deals out double the damage for all weapons.


• The Late but Lucky Dress- imbues a player’s health with the power of Shrinking Violets.


• The Cheshire Dress —disables all Rose Drops from enemies.


• The Caterpillar Dress —keeps Shrink Sonar active.

Note: The dresses can be worn at any time by selecting them in the main menu under “EQUIP”.
