Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings Of Ruin is a turn-based RPG developed by Capcom, and released in August 2021. The game is focusing on presenting a story, introducing a new engaging plot, full of unique characters, locations, etc.In the game, players can befriend various monsters, and cooperate with them during battles. MH: Stories 2 features nice, colorful, and cartoonish graphics with beautiful locations designs. Storyline

In the game, players will take o the role of a young hunter from a small village called Mahana. The protagonist can use a mysterious artifact that allows communicating with monsters and even create a strong relationship with them.To make matters more interesting, our hunter came into possession of a mysterious monster egg. According to legends, inside it, there is a monster who will be able to destroy the whole world. After some unexplained and bizarre events, the hunter begins a dangerous journey, full of adventures, monsters, and mysteries.

Gameplay and Mechanics

During the gameplay, the action is presented from the third-person perspective. Combat in MH: S2 is the biggest difference when comparing it to the main games of the Monster Hunter series. Instead of dynamic, very skill-based encounters, players will fight more tactically as the combat is now turn-based.It is worth remembering that battles are still challenging and players have to learn their opponents' attack patterns, weaknesses, etc. Additionally, because of the unique ability to communicate with monsters, we can use their help during fights. In time, our 'pets' will learn new, stronger attacks and abilities, becoming even more valuable companions.

Our hunter will also develop - during adventure we can create new equipment like weapons or armors, and learn new, useful abilities. The game features 6 different types of weapons, each with a completely different playstyle. Exploration also plays a big role during the game - on the journey players will visit many diverse locations, full of monsters, adventures, and secrets.Additionally, besides single-player experience, the game features co-op gameplay during with we can connect with other players and take on the challenge together - the difficulty level will dynamically adjust to the number of players, and their equipment to deliver the best experience.
