Story

Sniper Elite 4 is a sequel to the previous instalment of the franchise and it follows the story of covert agent Karl Fairburne. The game takes place on the sunny Italian island of San Celini where Fairburne must stop Nazis and their new terrible weapon and help local Resistance to fight for their freedom. The campaign offers player a lot of freedom, many enemies to fight and high-ranking Nazi officers to hunt down.

Gameplay

While aiming the player must mind the weather, take into account gravity and even Fairburne’s heartbeat. This makes sniping targets far more engaging than simply pointing and clicking. Good shots are rewarded with brutal x-ray kill cams that show the damage that bullet causes to the target. Splattered brains, shattered bones and even crushed testicles. You will truly feel the power of the rifles you wield.

Speaking of rifles, Sniper Elite 4 offers player many realistic weapons to choose from and use in specific situations. Not only that but they can be customized and upgraded to aid you in your hunt. Fairburne can also utilize various tools and traps to fight his enemies, and even turn corpses into booby-traps to surprise Nazi soldiers

The AI has been significantly improved when compared to previous games. Enemies behave more realistically and provide more of a challenge. The maps are bigger and more open allowing players to take different approaches as Fairburn can now climb and grab ledges. You can hunt down officers to make soldiers retreat, and in night missions you can firstly eliminate light sources to make sneaking easier.

You can also try out competitive and thrilling multiplayer for 12 players or join forces with friends in co-op missions. You can even play through the main campaign with a friend!
