ONE PUNCH MAN: A HERO NOBODY KNOWS

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is fighting, action-arcade game based on popular manga and anime. The game offers a variety of characters to play, known from the original work. The game was created by Spike Chunsoft studio, and Bandai Namco Entertainment has undertaken the release.

Story

Manga and the anime in the One Punch Man are a peculiar parody of superhero comics and Japanese animated series. The action takes place in a fictional version of modern Japan. They depict the story of a Saitama - a warrior who is so powerful that he defeats every enemy with one punch.

Gameplay

OPM: A Hero Nobody Knows is a reasonably classic fighting game in which the proper gameplay takes place in three dimensions (although we observe it most often in a side view). By controlling our character or characters, we perform punches (ordinary and more powerful special attacks), trying to bring the enemy's life bar to zero.

If you are familiar with One Punch Man comic series, you will find several characters from it, such as Genos, Terrible Tornado, Silver Fang, Atomic Samurai, Hellish Blizzard, Mumen Rider, Speed-O'-Sound Sonic, Deep Sea King, Carnage Kabuto, Mosquito Girl or Vaccine Man.

The creators have used a unique mechanics in the game - in some modes (against AI), the fight is accompanied by a counter that counts down the time until Saitama arrives - at the moment it happens, the battle is practically over. We can accelerate the arrival of an ally by performing devastating combinations and special attacks. 

Technical aspects

OPM offers quite an excellent graphic design. It was implemented in full 3D but resembles two-dimensional production. The creators managed to create graphics that refer to the animated original - this applies in particular to characters that look as if they were taken out of the anime alive.

Game modes

One Punch Man game offers different modes to play, whether you would like to play alone or with others, as part of a network and local multiplayer module, prepared for two people – that's totally up to you. The developers emphasize skirmishes in 3 vs. 3, in which both players control three different characters, between which they switch during the fight.
