Life Is Strange: Double Exposure allows its players to once again play as the original Life is Strange’s (2015) protagonist, Max Caulfield. Now an adult, Max has to once again use her incredible powers in order to solve a murder mystery split across two timelines.

Set in the state of Vermont at the fictional Caledon University’s Arts and Science College, Life Is Strange: Double Exposure tells a brand-new story of Max Caulfield, a talented photographer from Arcadia Bay. Max, who gained an unusual power of time-rewinding during the original game’s storyline, has to use her brand-new ability of timeline-shifting in order to solve and prevent the murder of her friend, Safi, in two parallel timelines.

Explore the Caledon University’s area and discover its many secrets, with multiple collectibles and clues to find. Find out what happened to Safi and prevent the tragedy by interacting with two versions of a gorgeous winter campus. Will you be able to tell a friend from a suspect?

Is Life Is Strange: Double Exposure Life Is Strange 4?

Life is Strange: Double Exposure is indeed the fourth mainline game of the series - after the original Life Is Strange, Life Is Strange 2, and Life Is Strange: True Colors - but, just like the previous instalment, its title lacks the ordinal number. As mentioned before, the game is also a sequel to the original Life Is Strange game.

The Life Is Strange franchise started as a story of LIS: Double Exposure’s main protagonist, Max Caulfield, and her childhood friend, Chloe Price, as depicted in the original Life Is Strange (2015) and its prequel, Life Is Strange: Before the Storm (2017). Life Is Strange 2 (2018) and its demo, The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit (2018), as well as Life Is Strange: True Colors (2021), are all set in the same universe, but they do not follow Max or Chloe. Therefore Double Exposure is the fourth main, but sixth overall game in the LIS series.
