Legend of Mana is a refreshed version of the game from 1999, now produced and released by Square Enix for PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in 2021. It is a two-dimensional role-playing video game and the fourth part of the storyline of Legend of Mana games. Journey to the mysterious world of Fa'Diel and restore the land to its former breathtaking glory!

Story

Set off on the adventure of your life in the fantastic land of Fa'Diel. The mighty Mana Tree was burned, and the inhabitants of the magical world were divided by war. It will be rather empty where you go, but your job is to rebuild the whole world from scratch. Find and collect magical artifacts that will help you complete the Fa'Diel map anew.

Legend of Mana Gameplay

Legend of Mana remaster is an addictive action RPG in which you will have to recreate a new reality. Play as a silent hero with no story or knowledge of your own destiny. During the game, you will gather information and experience that will allow you to get to know your place in the magical world. Explore the map and find artifacts scattered all over the place, in which entire locations have been enchanted. Place them back on the map to fill the land with life again. Travel through mountains, forests, and cities, discover stunning locations, and meet NPCs. Some of them will be friendly, but some you will have to fight. The land is full of various creatures, but also scary monsters and bosses. Fight them to gain experience and continue your journeys. To defeat the enemy, you can use not only classic weapons but also powerful magic spells.

The plot will guide you through several stories, in which you will complete quests and learn details about the lives of other characters. Also, in the refreshed version of Legend of Mana, you can play the Ring Ring Land mini-game, which will allow you to take care of a pet. Look after it and train it to gain valuable items and experience.

Put the settings to the single-player mode or co-op with a friend. Travel through the fantastic 2D world of Fa'Diel, see refreshed visuals, and switch between the original and entirely renewed soundtrack. The developers of the game did everything to make you experience an enhanced version of the adventure from 1999, while not giving up any of the previous features, that made this gameplay so special.

Legend of Mana is a video game that received mixed ratings but recorded very high sales. Many players noticed that the multiplayer mode could make the gameplay available to more people. On the other hand, the game captures hearts with its unique story, music out of this world, and graphics considered as one of the most refined among 2D fantasy video games.
