I wanted to role-play as a Roman governor, but apparently the empire now includes floating islands and magical marshes. My historian friend called my campaign ‘Anno meets Harry Potter,’ which stung but wasn’t completely wrong. I do enjoy the crazy terraforming, but for me, the lack of historical accuracy breaks immersion like a poorly built aqueduct. Still, raiding the Celtic neighbors is fun... even if I’m attacking Hobbit territory instead of Britannia.

Managing a Roman metropolis has become my new part-time job. Every hour is a scramble to keep the bread flowing—not to mention dodging those endless emergencies popping up like politicians during an election. The UI is a clear improvement though; it feels like the game's helping you, not the emperor breathing down your neck. If only my real work deadlines were this manageable...and offered better wine!

I came, I saw, I 'Veni Vidi Vici'd' my way through beautiful Roman avenues! The graphics here are so gorgeous that my old Centurion grandpa asked if he could retire to my digital villa. Building the Colosseum felt genuinely epic. For me, this is truly what city-builders should look like in 2025. My friends joke that I'm now a Roman architect, which is only half true—I still can't fix my bathroom tiles IRL, but look at those aqueducts!
