It comprises also some logic and RPG gameplay elements, forcing you to make the best use of your wit and creativity. You will soon find out that the prisoner’s everyday life orbits not only around spinning subsequent escape plans, but he has a plenty of rules and habits to follow. Accompany your protagonist, attending roll calls, doing prison jobs and following strict orders. Be prepared for a toilsome work sometimes, but hey, who said that you cannot secretly engineer your bid for freedom in the meantime?

Multiple gameplay possibilities

Discover the countless ways you can direct your play. Explore 11 complex-designed prisons and check out what may pave your way towards the ultimate aim. It’s up to you whether you will go for a tunnel, fence cutting, driving down on a sheet or impersonating someone else. The game itself may help you with a series of random events, like i.e. the appearance of a TV crew or a prisoners conspiracy. Use the fuss as an opportunity for your own luck.

You will soon find out that each map is larded with various, more or less useful objects. It is just the matter of noticing them and collecting when an opportunity arrives. Sometimes you will have to lurk and steal them from your fellow prisoners, while the other time you will buy or exchange accessories with your inmates. Take various odd-jobs, interact with other protagonists, connive with them or follow your own path. Be careful only not to get caught, as all the fun starts from its beginning.

Sequel of one of the bestsellers

Soon after the first edition was published, only the Steam platform announced a million of sold copies. This encouraged the indie developer to cooperate with the Team17 studio (best known for Worms series) and work on the additions, as well as subsequent versions of the game. Apart from the brand new ways to escape from multi-level prisons or a revamped combat system, The Escapists 2 release brings in a new multiplayer drop-in/drop-out mode.

Join your friends and play together, with or against each other, testing different game scenarios. The multiplayer gameplay is available for up to 4 players, who compete in an online or local rivalry. You will also notice that the graphic and music layouts have changed, as the visual side of the locations has been improved and new animated objects and effects have been added.
