Story

The completely depleted and dying surface of the Earth forces humanity to seek hope for a better tomorrow in the depths of the ocean. However, to find their chance there, they must first face all the challenges and lurking dangers in the abyss.

Gameplay

In Aquatico game, the gameplay starts with the standard map selection. However, as we progress, we discover that the game differs slightly from typical city builders because the city we create will consist of two distinct layers.

The first layer is the seabed, where the industrial area is located and where we gather resources. The second layer is the domed settlements with their own microenvironments, allowing people to move around without heavy suits—unlike the seabed, where drones can also be used for work.

Our task is to ensure that the underwater metropolis is developing, self-sustaining, and safe for the inhabitants. It is essential to provide the residents not only with food and entertainment but also… oxygen. It's also important to remember to develop technologies that will facilitate and automatize certain processes.

Expeditions are also a significant element of the game. To embark on one, fully equipped and manned submarines are needed. Although expeditions can lead to finding valuable items, it is also a costly and risky venture, as our submarine may be intercepted, for example.
