Broken Arrow is a modern warfare strategy game developed by Steel Balalaika Studio and published by Slitherine Software. It’s scheduled for release on June 19, 2025, Broken Arrow will be available on Microsoft Windows via Steam.

It features both single-player and multiplayer modes, focusing on tactical and immersive combat, unit customization, and resource management.

Gameplay

In Broken Arrow, players lead modern military battles between American and Russian factions using real-time tactics. They control infantry, tanks, aircraft, and ships, making strategic decisions to win immersive battles. Players need to focus on army building with more than 200 units and selecting the best forces for various missions. The key to defeating opponents and securing victory is managing resources, reinforcements and the positioning of amphibious troops.

While it doesn’t have a traditional campaign with a deep narrative, it offers strategic missions that simulate real-world conflicts.

First Steps

In this game, you start by choosing either the Russian or American faction, and building your army with over 200 units. First, you learn basic controls, how different units work, and where to place them on the battlefield. The first missions teach combat strategies, letting you test various attacks, such as air strikes and amphibious landings. As you advance, you unlock stronger units and upgrades, helping you plan better for larger battles.

Various Weapons

Broken Arrow offers a variety of modern weapons for different battle situations. Infantry can use assault rifles, sniper rifles, and rocket launchers. Tanks and vehicles have cannons, missiles, and machine guns for heave combat. Aircraft carry bombs and guided missiles, while naval units use torpedoes and cruise missiles to control the sea.

New Mechanics

Broken Arrow introduces new gameplay mechanics to make battles more strategic. The War Goals mode divides matches into three phases, rewarding you for both capturing areas and destroying enemy units.

The game also improves matchmaking, letting you quickly find matches without needing full teams. There are also more unit customization options, including upgraded special forces and new artillery strikes to create stronger armies.
