The base game, as well as this expansion, was developed by Playground Games. The DLC allows players to drive real-life cars recreated with LEGO blocks and explore a new world created from the title blocks.
Gameplay
The main elements of the gameplay remain unchanged - the game is all about high speeds and sports cars. However, this time we have an opportunity to experience all the features offered by Forza Horizon 4 in a bit different way – cars, as well as the totally new map called the LEGO Valley, has been constructed with the world-famous blocks. While driving through the new location, we can visit many incredible places - LEGO City, Super Mega Awesome Stunt Park, or Falcon Speedway racetrack are but a few new, exciting locations.
In addition to that, Forza Horizon 4 LEGO Speed Champions features five new cars which are:
- 2019 LEGO Speed Champions Bugatti Chiron
- 1987 LEGO Speed Champions Ferrari F40 Competizione
- 2019 LEGO Speed Champions McLaren Senna
- 1967 LEGO Speed Champions Mini Cooper S Rally
- 1974 LEGO Speed Champions Porshe 911 Turbo 3.0
If it comes to game modes offered by the DLC, players can enjoy classic races, new destruction based activities, and start in a special race on the huge LEGO Goliath track which goes through the whole map.
Reception
Forza Horizon 4 Lego Speed Champions expansion received mostly positive reviews. According to players, it is the perfect addition to FH4 that people didn't even realize they need. A new map, activities, and cars were much appreciated by the community.
