Gears Tactics is a fast-paced-turn-based strategy game with full of action battles requiring skillfully using your squad in order to take control of the battlefield. The action of the game is set around 12 years before the events from the first Gears of War, as the Locust army rises from the underground you must stop it from taking control over your planet together with your squad. The game has been released on Microsoft PCs as well as XBOX One consoles. 

Story

GT takes place 12 years before the action of the first Gears of War game. Here you step into the boots of Chief Gabe Diaz, and together with your unbending squad become the sole hope of your home planet – Sera – facing a horrible crisis. The cities become prey to the Locust Horde, an evil army of monsters lurking underground led by a mysterious leader. The government is not able to fight the monsters, and so Sera’s last hope is the group of people who somehow managed to survive and push back the menace. They decide to work together in order to find and defeat a leader of the invading army.

Gameplay

The player takes control of Gabe Diaz, the man who is going to find appropriate people and use their abilities to defeat their opponents. As the leader, you are able to customize and adjust your squad’s equipment, abilities and create upgrades from loot collected during previous missions. You need to plan your every move and try to be always one step ahead of your enemies as they will use every advantage to defeat you. 

In addition to fighting hordes of regular enemies, you will need to adjust your strategies to beat giant bosses which may present completely different challenges as well as unexpected rearrangements of the battlefield. Collect loot and gear up your squad for the deadliest of challenges as you are the only ones who can stop the Locust army from destroying the world.
