Gameplay
Phantom Blade Zero focuses on fast, fluid melee combat in which precise timing and weapon mastery play an important role. Soul can use more than 30 primary weapons as well as over 20 Phantom Edges obtained throughout the adventure. Battles combine seamless combos with dodges, deflections, counters and rapid attacks, allowing players to move naturally between offense and defense.
Outside combat, players explore the mysterious Phantom World, searching for hidden passages, solving environmental mechanisms and discovering secrets connected to its characters and history. Different routes and concealed areas encourage players to look beyond the most obvious path.
Story
Soul, a skilled warrior, is framed for the murder of his master and suffers a devastating wound to his heart. His life is temporarily saved, but he is left with only sixty-six days to live. Hunted and alone, Soul travels through the Wulin in search of the truth behind the conspiracy that has engulfed the martial world.
His journey takes him through a world shaped by revenge, loyalty, mystery and conflicting personal motives as he searches for answers while his remaining time continues to run out.
