Deltarune is a role-playing game developed by Toby Fox, and a follow-up to the 2015 hit Undertale. It shares some of the predecessor’s themes and gameplay, but the settings and plots are separate. It is released episodically, with the first two episodes being free, and the episodes 3 and 4 being paid.

It’s a top-down RPG following the adventures of a human called Kris. During battles, Kris is joined by a crew of allies, who can be ordered to take specific actions. The bullet hell elements return from Undertale, requiring players to maneuver an abstract representation of the character’s soul between obstacles and attacks to avoid them.

No, like its predecessor, Deltarune is an exclusively single-player game.

Deltarune is available for macOS, PC, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, as well as PlayStation 4 and 5.

The Steam version of Deltarune requires about 1 GB of available storage space, Nintendo Switch version requires about 630 MB, while the PlayStation versions do not offer this information at the time of writing.

Deltarune features neither cross-save nor, as a singleplayer game, crossplay.

While at the time of writing the full four chapters aren’t out yet, HowLongToBeat.com lists the length of the first two as about 4.5h and 8.5h for completionist runs. It is reasonable to expect the remaining two chapters to be at least that long.
