Story
Witchfire is based on an unusual and intriguing premise. The Church is waging a war against the witches and to better their odds they decide to use forbidden pagan magic to fight them. They turn willing sinners into supernatural beings whose purpose is to become the witch hunters called preyers. You are one of them, and with pagan powers and a specialized arsenal t your disposal you are tasked with hunting down a witch of the Black Sea and reclaiming an ancient artefact that is capable of tipping the scales of the war.
Witchfire also uses photogrammetry technology in its location design to achieve truly stunning visuals and create an immersive, grim world inhabited by witches and all sorts of supernatural demons and monsters.
Gameplay
Witchfire is a first-person shooter that incorporates rougelite elements and the use of various abilities that have a huge impact on encounters with enemies. There are a lot of guns available for the player, each with different properties. There is a lot of loot for the player to find and use during the course of the game. Witchfire encourages using all the tools player finds instead of hoarding them. There are also many different types of enemies and bosses requiring different strategies to defeat them.
