Plot

Sniper Elite 2 is set in World War 2, and players assume the role of Karl Fairburne, an American OSS agent who is sent to Germany to assist the Soviets in their fight against the Nazis. The game's action is presented through a series of missions, each of which has a specific objective that must be completed in order to progress to the next one. Fairburne is constantly putting himself in danger to complete his missions, often at the cost of his own safety.

Gameplay

The gameplay mechanics have remained largely unchanged from the original sniper game, with the remastered version mainly improving the graphics and performance. Sniper Elite V2 Remastered provides realistic ballistics and bullet physics, which allow players to take into account factors such as wind, gravity, and bullet drop when taking shots. This makes sniping feel more immersive and challenging, requiring snipers to carefully plan and execute their shots.

Another unique feature of the game is the X-Ray Kill Cam, which shows a slow-motion animation of the bullet as it travels through the air and hits its target, showing the damage caused to internal organs and bones. It has been enhanced in the remastered version, with new camera angles and improved animations.

In multiplayer, there are many interesting modes like Kill Tally, where players compete against each other to get the highest score, keeping each other alive and cooperating. The enemies in Kill Tally mode are armed and dangerous, and snipers must use cover and stealth to avoid being overwhelmed.
