Gameplay
Among Shadows mixes third-person fantasy combat with cooperation, deception, and deduction. Envoys explore infected areas, defeat enemies, gather materials, solve mechanisms, and search for the sources of corruption. Resources can be used to improve weapons, while additional magic can be discovered throughout the world.
The danger does not come only from monsters. Underworld Apostles are hidden among the group and can secretly sabotage the mission or attack isolated players. At night, the Order can call a Judgment and vote on who may be working against them, turning communication and observation into important parts of every match.
Once the Blood Moon rises, the conflict enters its decisive stage. The Order must protect the Lord and escort the convoy to safety while fighting waves of enemies. The Apostles instead use traps, deception, ambushes, and direct attacks to prevent the evacuation from succeeding.
Story
A mysterious infection has transformed once-prosperous lands into a dangerous, corrupted territory. The Order of the Secret Fire sends its Envoys to investigate the source of the disaster and stop its spread. Savage creatures and deadly traps stand in their way, but an even greater danger has already infiltrated their ranks.
Underworld Apostles have disguised themselves as members of the Order. As the infection spreads and the Blood Moon approaches, alliances become uncertain and every decision can determine whether the survivors escape or the corrupted forces achieve their goal.

Among Shadows presents its conflict in a dark 3D fantasy world built around corrupted settlements, hostile wilderness, ancient architecture, undead creatures, armored warriors, blades, and supernatural magic.
