Final Fantasy X/X2 Remaster is a bundle of two jRPG (Japanese Role-Playing Game), Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2, originally created by developers from Square Enix studio in 2001 and 2003. The game is a direct sequel of the 10th release of the series. This enhanced, High Definition edition was created by an internal team of Square Enix developers. The remastered edition includes bonus features that were originally available only in the special, Japanese edition of the game. The developers did their best to enhance the visual experience of the game – all the character models were significantly improved and adjusted to match today’s standards.

The fantastic, deep and emotional storyline

The story of FFX takes us to the fantastic world of Spira. We learn the story of a young Tidus, raising star of a sport Blitzball. Unfortunately, one day his life changes dramatically. All because of the devastating and powerful being called Sin, attacks the boy’s hometown, Zanarkand. After the encounter with the colossal menace Sin, Tidus finds himself lost in an unknown place. The boy meets young and beautiful Yuna, a talented summoner on her quest to stop Sin. Together with a few other companions, they must do whatever it takes to save the whole world of Spira, and hopefully, return home.

Final Fantasy X-2 brings us back to Spira. It has been two years since the beginning of the Eternal Calm, the defeat of powerful Sin who terrorized Spira in the past. After seeing a puzzling vision in an ancient sphere, Yuna becomes a Sphere Hunter. With the help of her friends, Rikku and Paine she starts her journey to unravel and understand the meaning of the mysterious vision.

Reception

Remastered edition of this classic jRPG has received very favorable reviews. People claim that the game looks and sounds better than ever before and did not lose anything from its original release. Almost 600 thousand of the PC version of the game on Steam (as of 2018) speaks for itself – here we are, facing really solid video game classic, in a totally fresh edition.
