Most of the time you will have to beat them in a battle in order to catch them, however, if you manage to sneak up on them and make the perfect Pokéball throw there is a chance to catch them without a duel!

In order to achieve a full Pokédex entry, you will have to complete a set of specific tasks. They include catching a certain number of the specific Pokémon, observing their behavior, and even evolving them.
