The Indie edition of Stencyl is the easiest way for artists, designers, and non -programmers to create games for Mac, Windows, Linux, Steam, and Flash without writing any code. To do this, users drag and snap together colorful blocks to build a game's logic. Programmers can extend the engine with code to hook in APIs and native functionality.

Stencyl has been used by over 300,000 developers and hundreds of schools to create thousands of games across all supported platforms. Notable Stencyl games include Ghost Song (Steam), Mibibli's Quest (PC/Mac), Skullface (Flash), WRASSLING (iOS), and Dangerous Dungeons (Flash, iOS).

The Indie edition of Stencyl lets you publish games to Windows, Mac, Linux, Steam, and Flash, for a period of 1 year. Stencyl offers an optional upgrade if you wish to publish games to iOS and Android.
