Gameplay
Boris Todbringer's campaign combines the large-scale strategy of Immortal Empires with mechanics centred on the worship of Ulric. Victories against Middenland's enemies generate Fervour, which can be invested into the six Sanctuaries of the Great Temple of Ulric. Developing them provides bonuses to areas such as the economy, military forces, diplomacy, and Ulric-themed units.
On the battlefield, Boris favours direct and aggressive engagements. Teutogen Guard can form a heavily armoured frontline, Wolf-Kin provide armour-piercing offensive power, Warriors of Ulric specialise against infantry, while Knights of the White Wolf and Knights Panther add powerful cavalry options. Hunting Hounds provide fast flanking support, while the Celestial Hurricanum brings magical ranged firepower.
Boris himself is an armoured melee specialist designed to fight alongside his soldiers. His Runefang, Legbiter, improves his offensive combat potential, while his command abilities and skill lines strengthen the troops fighting under him.
Story
Boris Todbringer rules Middenland from the great city of Middenheim and stands as one of the Empire's most determined defenders. A devoted follower of Ulric, he faces growing threats from Beastmen, Chaos forces, Skaven, and other enemies gathering around the Empire's northern territories.
His most personal enemy is Khazrak One-Eye, the Beastlord Boris has pursued for years. During the campaign, reports of Brayherd activity can draw Boris into confrontations with the Beastmen as he protects Middenland and searches for another chance to finally defeat his old nemesis.
Graphics
Boris Todbringer – Lords of the End Times expands the visual identity of the Empire with a strong Middenland and Cult of Ulric theme. Heavy plate armour, wolf imagery, warhammers, knightly orders, sacred symbols, and the monumental Great Temple of Ulric give Boris's faction a distinctive northern Empire appearance.
The new units fit naturally into Total War: WARHAMMER III's dark fantasy battlefields, ranging from heavily armoured Teutogen Guard and White Wolf knights to fast Hunting Hounds and the arcane Celestial Hurricanum. Large armies, detailed campaign environments, magical attacks, and close-range clashes reinforce the scale of the wider Immortal Empires experience.
