VALORANT Gift Card 40 NZD - Riot Key - NEW ZEALAND

A VALORANT Gift Card is a prepaid code that adds VALORANT Points (VP) to a Riot Games account, the premium in-game currency used inside VALORANT. It works as a cash alternative for players who want to top up VP without linking a card or bank account directly to the game client.

Not always. Riot Games sells a unified prepaid card that works across VALORANT, League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra, converting into whichever in-game currency matches the title it's redeemed in. A card specifically labeled "VALORANT Gift Card" is usually pre-set to redeem as VP only, while a generic Riot Games card can become VP or RP depending on the game selected.

VP is spent on cosmetic content, including weapon skins, skin bundles, the VALORANT Battle Pass, and select agent unlocks. VP has no effect on competitive matchmaking, since every item it buys is purely visual and carries no gameplay advantage.

VP is the currency specific to VALORANT, while RP is the equivalent currency used in League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics. Both are purchased through the same Riot Games storefront, but VP and RP balances are kept separate and cannot be converted into one another.

Radianite Points are a secondary currency used to unlock upgraded skin levels, such as new finishing animations, visual effects, and audio variants on weapon skins already owned. VP from a VALORANT Gift Card can be spent directly on Radianite Points in the in-game store, though players also earn Radianite for free through the Battle Pass and weekly missions.

Yes. VALORANT Points are tied to the region a Riot account is registered in, so a card purchased for one region, such as North America or Europe, will only add VP to accounts registered on a matching server. Redeeming a card on an account from a different region typically returns an error instead of crediting the balance.

The prepaid code itself generally carries no expiration date, though this can vary slightly by issuing region and retailer terms. Once redeemed, the resulting VP balance on a Riot account does not expire and stays available until spent.

Card values vary by region and retailer, but common tiers correspond to VP amounts such as 475, 1,000, 2,050, and 3,650, or fixed currency values like $10, $25, $50, and $100 that convert to VP at redemption. Larger denominations usually offer a slightly better VP-to-currency rate through Riot's bonus VP tiers.

Both formats exist. Some cards state a fixed VP amount directly on the card, so the player receives that exact quantity regardless of exchange rates, while others are denominated in local currency, such as USD or EUR, and convert into VP at the exchange rate active at the moment of redemption.

No. VALORANT is free-to-play with no purchase price, so a gift card is never needed to access the game. Its full value goes toward VP, which is spent exclusively on optional cosmetic content once inside the client.

Yes. Since VALORANT has no native in-client gifting feature for VP, a gift card is the standard way to give VP to another player. The recipient redeems the code on their own Riot account and the VP is added directly to their balance.

Yes. The code itself can be purchased without an account, but redeeming it and receiving the VP requires an existing Riot Games account with VALORANT installed, registered in the region matching the card.

No. Once VP is added to a Riot account, it cannot be moved to a different account or migrated to an account registered in another region, which makes region and account selection important before redeeming a card.

No. VP only unlocks cosmetic content such as skins, bundles, and Battle Pass tiers, and has no interaction with Rank Rating, matchmaking, or competitive progression. Two accounts with identical ranks can hold completely different VP balances with no gameplay impact either way.
