Victoria II: A House Divided is the first expansion to the extensive Victoria II strategy released in 2010. Everything was again produced by an internal team of Paradox Interactive. The add-on requires the base version of the game to work. 

About the DLC

The expansion enriches the game with a new scenario that begins on July 1, 1861, that is, after the start of the Civil War, but still before the first serious battles. Of course, the fun continues even after the conflict ends. We are then concerned with transforming the United States into a real superpower, able to compete on an equal footing with the greatest European powers of the time. It is necessary to ensure economic and scientific development. It will also be necessary to expand the infrastructure in the United States, and it will often be profitable to build factories in other countries.

Victoria II: A House Divided, apart from the new scenario, offers many other changes in the mechanics of the game. The add-on greatly expands the political system present in the basic version, enriching it, among others o the possibility of applying new types of reforms and social programs. Success is hampered by national movements that, if unchallenged, can lead to a revolution. The authors also made many improvements to the interface, making it easier to find the information you need.
