The new army of pure evil endangers the lands of Reikland after a mysterious meteor crash, and your task is to save it and push the dark forces back where they came from. Choose one of the five heroes, play in co-op with your friends, strangers picked by the matchmaking, solo or with AI companions.

What’s new

In this first Vermintide 2 expansion, the Beastmen attack the empire and want to see its downfall in the most horrible way possible. They are vicious and cunning so do not underestimate their intelligence while facing them. Test yourself in the Cataclysm mode which is even harder than before. The level cap has been raised to 35 with additional talents to make use of. In the winds of magic, the new system of progression appears and includes the Weave Forged version for all the weapon types. With the new enemy, the need for new weapons arises, now each hero gets a brand new weapon to fight evil.

The expansion presents you with new armament options for your heroes such as  Kerillan’s   shield and spear for a powerful combination fitting a tank class, Sienna can now take advantage of her flames thanks to a flaming flail, Bardin gets a new throwing axes set, Saltzpyre fights with a billhook and Kruber makes use of a heavy spear.

New game mode

The Vermintide 2 Winds of Magic introduces a set of new challenges on smaller portions of classic maps which are optimized and best played with three other players. The Winds of Magic are based on the Warhammer battle universe and here, they give you the possibility to experience the already known maps in their different versions with the addition of modifiers and weaves coming from the winds of magic. The progression in this game mode is separate to the base one, and also includes a seasonal reset of characters, so periodically players need to compete to get to the top of the leaderboards. In order to access the content of the Winds of Magic expansion, you will need to finish the campaign of the base game.

New adventure level to conquer

Dark Omens is the name of the new level on which your hero is going to do his best to prevent the clan of The Dark Pact from reaching the Warpstone Meteorite, which may be used by the Skaven as a great source of power. Fight together with your friends to conquer the newly arrived threat and prevent a cataclysm.
