The latest DLC, Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, brings you back to the setting of the original game. Are you concerned about your ability to handle the difficulties if you skip out on the base game? Phantom Liberty can be played without finishing CP 2077's narrative.

 What new things do you get by purchasing Phantom Liberty?

• Access to the new Dogtown district, which is one of the most dangerous in all of Night City. The big advantage is that you can explore it both horizontally and vertically. There are plenty of rooftops and other undiscovered nooks waiting for you.
• You will unlock a new skill tree related to Relic's capabilities.
• Test your skills in new quests, gigs, and boss fights. Additionally, over 100 new items are waiting for you, including weapons, outfits, cyberware, and cars.

Plot

You take on the role of mercenary V in the "Phantom Liberty" DLC. The adventure starts as you receive a message from the enigmatic netrunner Songbird. The woman grants the hero assistance on the condition that he save Rosalind Myers, the president of the New United States of America (NUSA). This will not be a simple task, especially since the politician's Space Force One plane crashes in Dogtown, an autonomous district of Night City that was ripped from the city's jurisdiction during the Unification War by former Colonel Kurt Hansen. Barghest has already started the hunt for the president.

V can rely on Songbird and experienced operative Solomon Reed, who has been dormant until recently, for assistance on espionage and political missions. Reed is played by Idris Elba, which gives a special atmosphere to the game. Of course, you will still be accompanied by Johnny Silverhand.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty story length

What is the time required to win the game? After concentrating on the primary goals, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty takes roughly 13 hours to complete. If you're a player who wants to experience every facet of the game, you'll probably need to invest about 30 hours to finish it completely.

Should I finish Cyberpunk before Phantom Liberty?

Are you unsure if you should buy the DLC or play the original game first? You can play the DLC without having to familiarize yourself with Cyberpunk 2077's story.
