One of the most reliable and arguably most successful heavy freight haulers on the North American rail network, the EMD SD60M, comes to Train Simulator.
The SD60 series was intended to improve upon its predecessor, the SD50, and production was spurred by General Motors’ introduction of 3,600 horsepower diesel locomotives. GM’s Electro-Motive Division initially introduced the SD50, but weaknesses in its reliability and construction soon saw the SD60 introduced to service.
The EMD SD60M for Train Simulator is available in Union Pacific livery and features cab and instrument lighting, opening windows and opening cab doors.
