Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is a first-person shooter that serves as a sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. It is the twentieth instalment in the Call of Duty series and the third part of the remastered Modern Warfare series.

Sledgehammer Games and Infinity Ward are responsible for developing COD MW3 Remastered, just like in the previous Modern Warfare remake instalments. The game's publication has been handled by Activision for many years. The release date is scheduled for October 10, 2023. The game will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.

Storyline

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is a direct continuation of the COD MW2, so the events in the game take place shortly after those of the previous instalment.

In the latest part, Captain Price and his Task Force 141 group will once again have to confront the war criminal Vladimir Makarov, whose influence has spread worldwide, making the mission even more challenging.

CoD3:MW2 - Gameplay

Just like in the previous instalment, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 takes place in various parts of the world. Players will encounter 16 upgraded maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011).

In addition to traditional campaigns, the third part of the Modern Warfare saga emphasizes Open Combat Missions, where players have greater freedom in choosing their playstyle. This means that the player decides whether to complete a particular mission with stealth or in a more action-packed manner.

Regarding the available arsenal of weapons in the game, there is no shortage, as it presents itself quite impressively. Assault rifles, submachine guns, sniper rifles, and many more. Good news for COD MW2 Remake fans – the entire arsenal from the second part will be transferred to COD MW3 Remake.

Among the novelties, Tactical Stance stands out, which provides better accuracy without affecting character mobility. It will also be possible to skip the sliding animation and fire during or immediately after it.

Of course, singleplayer is not the only mode. As in previous instalments, this one will also feature a multiplayer mode. And not just any multiplayer mode! Since Modern Warfare 3 will be released this year to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Call of Duty series, players will have access to the largest collection of maps yet.

New game modes will be introduced, such as Cutthroat (3v3v3 gameplay), Hardpoint, and Kill. Players can also expect many gameplay improvements and new mechanics, as well as the return of classics like red dots on the map indicating enemy characters.

What will undoubtedly please many players is the return of the Zombies mode, developed by Treyarch. It includes an open-world map where players can join forces to battle the undead.
