Warning! This DLC requires the base game Cities: Skylines on Steam in order to play.
In Cities: Skylines Snowfall you can now enjoy the look of a city in a white dress on a set number of maps thanks to the overhauled textures and models applied in the winter cities. The change of season brings not only a new look but also a set of new challenges involving taking care about the road systems and keeping the residents warm, as well as a number of new buildings and attractions for your citizens to spend their time in.
Winter themed maps
Cities: Skylines Snowfall expansion pack presents you with 3 new maps on which winter never stops. That means you now have to prepare for a slight change of rules, where it is necessary to keep your citizens warm and the roads must be cleared of snow. In order to achieve that you must employ snowplows clearing up the roads of snow, as it slows your traffic down. Additionally, you must raise the budget for electricity or upgrade your water pipes to allow for heating the houses to prevent your citizens from freezing.
More transportation options
Aside from the snow-covered roads in winter cities, you may also want to change things up a bit in your already existing cities. For this purpose, you can now create tram tracks and their depots as well as a number of types of roads with built-in or individual tracks, which are handy in avoiding busier places. Additionally, you can improve the situation on your roads by building the road maintenance service, which makes cars go faster on boosted roads.
