Wargame: European Escalation is an another RTS game from the Eugen Systems, who became popular after creating R.U.S.E. This time, however, the developers left World War II and concentrated on more immediate times.

The Wargame campaign begins in 1975, when the Cold War lead to a world-wide conflict between the armies of NATO and the forces of the Warsaw Pact. Undoubtedly, world dominance is at stake here. We're in command till the year 1985 and witness hypothetical events, which could have taken place.

The gameplay in Wargame is similar to that from the previous Eugen Systems' productions. We take part in wide-scale battles. Thanks to the IRISZOOM system, the flow of the encounters can be easily viewed from any perspective. Each side of the conflict has separate units. To succeed, the player will have to make wise use of all of his or her assets. The battles are fought on ground, air and sea.
