Wartales is an adventure role-playing game developed and released by Shiro Games in 2022. Travel to the Middle Ages to journey through the land ravaged by the plague. In this story, you will not become a hero, legend, or chosen of the gods. In this story, you will be an ordinary human with the sole purpose of surviving in truly harsh circumstances.
Story
The mighty Edoran Empire had fallen into a pathetic replica of a decent country. A mysterious pandemic ruined its inhabitants, leaving only those most desperate to survive. However, the plague did not entirely vanish, turning people into meat-hungry aberrations. Set off on a journey through this grotesque land and do your best to survive.
Gameplay
Explore the open world of Wartale video game and discover its diversified lands. You will see monumental forests, huge wastelands, and peaceful villages - complete quests to gain wealth and develop your team. Meet charismatic characters and recruit new group members to lead them in these unsteady medieval times. Plan strategy, take care of good relations between your teammates and provide your people with a comfortable place to live.
The combat in Wartales takes place in a turn-based system and provides a lot of adrenaline. Both your hero and party members have unique skills. Everyone also has a preferred weapon and can develop their battle talents. Engage in the fights against simple barbarians or take down powerful bosses. Each battle means new loot, better equipment, and a chance to expand your camp! Explore the world of Wartales and keep your eyes peeled - in this RPG, everyone can be your friend or mortal enemy.
