World of Warcraft is a massively multiplayer online RPG developed and published by Blizzard. It is a spin-off of the Warcraft series of role-playing games. Azeroth was once a land of peace and harmony, ruled by the Alliance of humans, elves, dwarves, and other good creatures., However, nothing lasts forever. From the darkest pits of the world came the Horde, a coalition of fell races led by brutal Orcs. The war was inevitable. The Alliance and the Horde clash on the once peaceful fields of Azeroth, fighting to determine the fate of the realm.

Reception

World of Warcraft received nearly universal critical acclaim and is oftentimes considered as a quintessential MMORPG title. The reviewers had noted that while not being too different than other titles of the genre, WoW manages to win over the competition with the amount of polish the developers at Blizzard put into their title.
