Call of Duty: Black Ops III is a first-person shooter game developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. The game is the third installment of the Black Ops sub-series of Call of Duty games. In BO III, the player can play through a single-player campaign featuring a cooperative mode, or enjoy the classic Call of Duty multiplayer experience.
The Zombie Mode, a staple of the series, returns in this title as well, and the Zombie Chronicles Edition adds upgraded classic maps from the previous installments.

The main alteration is the introduction of the co-op mode in the single-player campaign. Now, the player can carry out missions together with up to four others. The story of Black Ops III is set 40 years after the events of the previous installment. During that time, a global conflict between two factions - Winslow Accords and Common Defense Pact - has erupted. Using state-of-the-art weaponry, such as directed-energy weapons and artificial intelligence, these global superpowers struggle for control of the Earth's future.
As a member of the Winslow Accords task force, the player is sent behind the enemy lines to carry out various clandestine operations that may turn the tide of the war.
