Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is an action-adventure video game developed by Ryu ga Gotoku Studio and released by Sega in 2023. The title takes place between Yakuza 6 and Yakuza 7 events to resume the Kazuma Kiryu sensational story. Uncovering consequences that should have never happened, this game is the perfect addition to the legendary saga before the grand appearance of a new hero, Ichiban Kasuga.
Kazuma Kiryu doesn't exist. However, it turns out that the man faked his own death to save his family and never return to his past life. But fate is unpredictable, and soon someone tries to lure him out of hiding. Under a different name — Joryu — the determined hero embarks on an adrenaline-fueled crusade to confront new enemies and achieve once-lost peace.
Like a Dragon Gaiden combines the essential features of a classic jRPG with beat 'em up gameplay set in unique Japanese surroundings famous from all video games in this fantastic series. Like the other installations, this one also focuses on thorough exploration, completing jobs, and spectacular combat with constantly emerging groups of enemies.
