Redfall is a first person shooter developed by well-known Arkane Austin, authors of games such as Dishonored or Prey. When the plague of vampires cuts off the island city of Redfall from the world, the survivors must join forces to discover the mystery behind the attack. The island town of Redfall falls prey to a mysterious plague of vampires who block out the sun and cut the town off from the rest of the world. The player must choose one of the four survivors, each with a different backstory and personality, and try to find answers about the attack alone or with a group of up to three other survivors. Redfall offers an intriguing story that can be experienced together with friends and a cast of equally interesting and diverse characters that each have different motivations, goals and methods of action.
Redfall is a first-person shooter set in an open world that can be enjoyed solo or in a group of up to four people. Of course, hordes of vampires now occupy the island and so, the player will have to fight a fair share of blood-sucking monsters of different kinds, shapes and sizes. A whole arsenal of specialized weaponry, different hero skills, abilities and upgrades combined with enemy variety and open-world offers players an experience that won't become boring in quite a while, even after finishing the story. Especially when considering that the player isn't limited to one playstyle, as Redfall offers great freedom in how to approach combat. You can go guns blazing and just shoot everything on sight, but you could just as well try and eliminate enemies silently.
