Fate/Samurai Remnant is a Japanese action role-playing video game produced by Koei Tecmo Games Co., Ltd. in cooperation with Omega Force, Kou Shibusawa, Aniplex and Type-Moon, and published by Koei Tecmo Games Co., Ltd. in 2023. This unique action JRPG is a part of the popular Fate series.

Become a samurai

The game takes place in the year 1651, during the Japanese Keian era in Edo Period. The main character of Fate Samurai Remnant is Miyamoto Iori (voiced by well-known Japanese voice actor Kengo Kawanishi), a skilled samurai. Equipped with dual katanas, Miyamoto and his supernaturally strong Servant, Saber, have to fight his enemies to secure a wish-granting artifact of Waxing Moon Vessel.

The main part of the game is obviously the super exciting and challenging fights in the style of typical hack’n’slash/action RPG games, but also based on the musou (“unmatched”) fighting games genre - with musou being automated, powerful attack sequences that can be performed once a musou gauge is charged. You can control both Miyamoto - the Master - and his Servant in order to defeat anyone and everyone that stands in your way. Be careful though, as multiple boss fights require some solid skill and strategy!

Fate Samurai Remnant is an open-world game that allows its players to explore various Edo (Tokyo) districts such as Kanda, Akasaka and Yoshiwara as well as other towns. Meet various characters including new Rogue Servants that may become your faithful allies, complete a variety of side quests, develop your skills, and get to know the one-of-a-kind plot centered around the mysterious Waxing Moon Ritual with many twists and turns waiting for you along the way. Don’t forget to pet the curious and cute Edo cats!
