Or perhaps have YOU ever dropped a brick and forgot to pick up your significant other from the train station, walk your dog, do the chores, etc., because you were so absorbed in constructing that new pergola in order to finish off the dream Lego house of yours? Well, now you are going to fidget like a cat on hot bricks – The Lego Movie Videogame is in.
The Plot
A 2014 Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment tie-in game, developed by TT Fusion, is another installment of the vast and ever-expanding Lego universe. You control Emmet – an average Joe who, by sheer chance, gets involved in a dastardly plot of Lord Business to use a super weapon called Kragle to stuck Lego pieces together permanently. Having loads of adventures in various themed Lego worlds, with a help of an agile master builder Wyldstyle, Emmet turns into an accidental hero who saves the day.
The Gameplay
The main premise of the game is simple – complete 15 levels while manipulating Lego bricks. Apart from regular ‘Lego-y’ stuff like building, fixing or jackhammering something, you may do some other action-packed things. Climbing, fighting, shooting lasers, driving vehicles, escaping from prisons, finding building instructions – such actions are often required to advance the plot. What’s more, the Lego Movie Videogame is spiked with studs which you collect in order to unlock or purchase minifigures you then may control. And they are not some kind of ordinary minifigures! Gandalf, Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman – these and many more heroes await to help Emmet defeat the evil Lord Business.
