Death's Door video game is an action-adventure production about a Crow with the task of collecting souls and chasing potential soul stealers. The game was developed by Acid Nerve and published by Developer Digital on 20th July 2021. Upon release, the game received numerous positive reviews, mainly praising the mechanics implemented into the game, simplicity and ranging levels of difficulty, some even comparing it to the fan-favorite game series known for being difficult, mainly Dark Souls.

Gameplay

Death's Door is an action-adventure game about the adventures of a young Crow working as a 'reaper' for an almost bureaucratic-like Reaping Commission Headquarters. Throughout the game, the player will be tasked to harvest the souls of different entities, some of them being monsters with great reluctance to be decommissioned to the afterlife.

As the player progresses through the levels, more and more information about the Reaping Commission Headquarters and its leader, the Lord of Doors, is revealed.

Combat

A tremendous arsenal of weapons is available for the player as they take control of a 'grim reaper', the harvester of souls. Ranging from numerous melee weapons, arrows and magic spells, the player can choose their way of dealing with uncooperative souls. Additionally, the protagonist can be customized and upgraded to achieve the upper hand in combat with foes.

A breathtaking world with a dark mystery

The player will travel through a world full of individual and twisted residents while trying to unravel the secrets of the Headquarters. Encounters with various monsters and tyrants will allow the player to comprehend the flow of souls in the afterlife and uncover the true origin of the Doors.
