Gameplay
STAR WARS: Galactic Racer combines high-speed racing with vehicle combat, route selection, customization, and progression. Players can choose between different classes of repulsorcraft, each offering its own handling and tactical possibilities. Success depends not only on raw speed but also on knowing the circuit, choosing the right route, controlling your craft, and dealing with aggressive rivals.
Tracks feature branching paths, varied environments, and opportunities to balance greater risks against greater rewards. Racers can slam and shunt opponents, perform takedowns, and adjust their builds to gain an advantage. The game includes a story-driven single-player campaign as well as competitive PvP racing.
Story
The story takes place after the fall of the Empire, as the New Republic attempts to rebuild the galaxy. In the Outer Rim, gambling, entertainment, and the pursuit of glory give rise to the Galactic League, an unsanctioned racing circuit backed by powerful syndicates.
Players take the role of Shade, a lone racer pursuing both glory and revenge. Shade becomes involved in a growing rivalry with Kestar Bool, a ruthless competitor with ambitions of his own. To rise through the Galactic League, Shade must build alliances, defeat rivals, survive increasingly dangerous races, and establish a reputation as an elite pilot.
Graphics
STAR WARS: Galactic Racer presents its races with a cinematic science-fiction style inspired by the varied worlds and vehicles of the Star Wars universe. Circuits span dusty deserts, icy landscapes, volcanic terrain, lush jungles, wreckage-filled environments, and other hazardous locations.
Distinctive repulsorcraft, large-scale scenery, environmental hazards, and recognizable Star Wars locations help give every circuit its own atmosphere. Locations such as Jakku's Graveyard of Giants combine familiar landmarks with tracks designed specifically for fast and aggressive racing.
