Players search flooded buildings and hostile streets for ammunition, medical supplies, weapons, and information while avoiding or confronting supernatural enemies. The game combines third-person shooting with environmental puzzles, optional investigations, and interconnected locations. Calvin must uncover the truth behind the disaster while searching for a way to save someone trapped within an unnatural dream. His journey eventually forces him to confront a terrible dilemma in which one life must be weighed against the survival of an entire city.
