Dead Island Riptide Definitive Edition is a fully remastered version of a critically acclaimed Dead Island: Riptide, a second game from the popular Dead Island franchise. Developed by Techland and published by Deep Silver in 2016, Definitive Edition is a complete version of the game with all DLC included.

Zombie vacation

Dead Island Riptide’s plot takes place right after the original Dead Island’s ending, with four original survivors waking up in a zombie-ridden ship on the shore of the island of Palanai. Turns out the horror is not over - the infection has spread here as well, turning the once peaceful island into a vacation destination from hell.

The game serves as a stand-alone expansion to the Dead Island game and, just like the original, it’s an open-world FPP action game with survival horror elements. The main parts of the gameplay include very graphic combat, weapon crafting and upgrading, looting and resource gathering, developing survival skills and completing both main and side quests in order to help Palanai’s inhabitants and escape the island.

With five main characters - Sam B, Xian Mei, Purna Jackson, Logan Carter and John Morgan - to choose from, players can enjoy the single-player game as well as online co-op mode for up to 4 players.

Better than ever

Dead Island Riptide Definitive Edition contains all of the DLC released for the base game: the first DLC is the Survivor Pack with XP booster, an expanded, premium shop inventory for one of the Merchants (Makayla) and a weapon modification called the BBQ Mod, and the second one is Fashion Victim - a pack of alternate skins for the main characters of the game.

That’s not all though: the original Riptide has been fully remastered and is now available in full HD, with improved models and graphics! Palanai has never looked this beautiful and deadly before!
