Call of Duty: Black Ops III is a first-person shooter game developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. The game is the third installment of the Black Ops sub-series of Call of Duty games. Story Summary

The story of Black Ops III is set 40 years after the events of the previous installment. During that time, a global conflict between two factions - Winslow Accords and Common Defense Pact - has erupted. Using state-of-the-art weaponry, such as directed-energy weapons and artificial intelligence, these global superpowers struggle for control of the Earth's future.

As a member of the Winslow Accords task force, the player is sent behind the enemy lines to carry out various clandestine operations that may turn the tide of the war.
